Recently I have been on a summer holiday to Kefalonia (a greek island). Usually my hair gets knotted because of all the chlorine in the pool, so I decided to try the Calypso sun-sea hair protection. This claims to protect against sun, chlorine and dehydration. It has UV filters which protects hair from sunlight. I bought mine for £3.99 on amazon (there will be a link below). It is a 100ml bottle so this is great value for money. The ingredients contain Keratin. When hair becomes wet with chlorinated water the hair shafts absorb the chlorine which strips the hair of its natural lubricant making it dry and brittle. You apply this BEFORE swimming in chlorine or major sun exposure so the hair has more protein so it needs and therefore doesn’t become as damaged.
